1. Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage also let a website remember information on your device. Local storage can persist between visits; session storage normally lasts for the browser tab’s session. These technologies can contain identifiers, preferences, or information you enter.

This policy covers our website. The separate mobile application remains covered by its mobile app privacy policy.

2. What our website stores

Browser settings or clearing site data can remove stored information earlier. Remembered signup answers are stored on the device you use, so consider clearing site data after using a shared device.

3. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use our website. Our website loads its analytics script only after you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. Choosing “No thanks” keeps optional Google Analytics disabled, and you can continue using the website.

Google receives website usage and device or browser information when analytics runs. Its analytics cookies include _ga and cookies with the _ga_ prefix, which help distinguish visitors and maintain session information. Cookie expiry is separate from how long analytics records are retained by the service.

4. Changing your choice

To reset your choice, close other buildingoro.ca tabs, clear cookies and site data for buildingoro.ca in your browser, then open the homepage again. Choose “No thanks” to decline optional analytics or “Accept” to allow it. If you have visited both buildingoro.ca and www.buildingoro.ca, clear site data for both.

Clearing site data can also remove your theme preference, newsletter preferences, and unfinished signup answers. It does not delete an Oro account, erase server-side conversation records, or withdraw permission for text messages.

You can also manage cookies and site storage through your browser settings. Blocking storage may prevent the website from remembering your choices or signup progress.

5. Texting and beta review

Your website analytics choice controls Google Analytics on the website. Oro’s handling of text conversations, photos, generated content, and internal beta review is described in the privacy policy. Choosing “No thanks” on the cookie banner does not stop that separate processing.

6. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our use of cookies or browser storage changes. We will explain material changes and obtain any consent required before introducing new optional uses.
